OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an intergovernmental organisation that develops and promotes social and economic policies. The OECD’s ‘Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises’ (OECD Guidelines) are recommendations from 43 OECD and adhering countries to enterprises regarding responsible business conduct in their worldwide operations.

OECD GUIDL. MULTI. ENTR.The OECD Guidelines cover a range of topics, including human rights, employment, environment, disclosure, corruption and taxation. A ‘Specific Instance’ (complaint) can be filed against companies from or operating in an OECD or adhering country concerning their worldwide activities with the relevant National Contact Point (NCP). This includes adverse impact through their supply chains and business relationships for alleged breach covered in the Guidelines.
